Nature’s Logic Dog Food Review: What Makes This Dog Food Unique?

Compared to other dog foods, Nature’s Logic dog foods have some great and unique features. Here are some of them.

Dog Food Set For All Life Stages

Nature’s Logic dog food is a recipe set for all dog breeds and sizes. Additionally, this dog food has balanced nutritional levels suitable for a small, medium, or large dog breed.

No Artificial Ingredients

Most dog food brands have started hoodwinking most dog food buyers by using filler ingredients like feathers, beaks, and legs to add bulk to their dog food. They also use artificial flavors and colors to make the food palatable. However, such products add no value. Nature’s Logic steers away from such a tradition by using 100% natural whole foods.

Again this dog food refrains from using dog food ingredients that have been exposed to pesticides and herbicides.

No MSG or Artificial Flavors

Most dog food brands state that they have used real liver as their main flavor. But that’s not true as they use soy flour and monosodium glutamate, which gives this dog food the liver flavor.

right amount of protein fiber fats and essential amino acids makes your dog healthy and active

To be different and genuine to their clients, Nature’s Logic dog food has no hydrolyzed liver. Instead, they use real dried liver and spray-dried plasma to make it more appealing.

Although high-pressure sterilization is a recommendable process in eliminating E coli and salmonella in dog foods, it comes with a cost. The reason being hybrid sterilization eliminates beneficial bacteria that are key in your dog’s gut health.

High Protein Concentration

Unlike other dog foods, Nature’s Logic uses high-quality animal-based muscle and organs as the source of proteins. Beef, lamb, chicken, poultry, and pork are key sources of proteins present in Nature’s Logic dog food.

dog eating

Meat Meals

Nature’s Logic dog food uses a meat meal rather than whole meat as a source of proteins. Listed as the first ingredients, here are some of the meat meals used; fish, poultry, and beef. When used as the first ingredient, meat meals will contain a higher protein concentration than when real meat is used as the first ingredient. That is to say, dog food labeled chicken meal will have more protein than one labeled real chicken included.

Millet

Millet is the source of carbohydrates in this dog’s diet. Millet is used as it’s more likely to occur in almost all carnivorous diets compared to other grains. Again, it’s more digestible.

Montmorillonite Clay

Montmorillonite clay is an anticaking agent that is also a good source of essential dietary elements. This clay also aids in clearing any toxins from your dog’s body.

To avoid contamination, this clay is sourced from a reputable seller, and later it’s tested to avoid transferring pathogens.

Preservatives

Tocopherol is a natural preservative sourced from vegetable oils.

Probiotics and Digestive Enzymes

Like we humans, dogs need probiotics.  Pre and probiotics ensure that your dog has a healthy gut.

If these healthy bacteria are eliminated, your dog may start having gastrointestinal issues. Furthermore, enzymes are included to help your dog’s digestion process, and still, these enzymes are vital in many cellular functions.

Some of the enzymes in Nature’s Logic dog food are amylase for digesting starch, Cellulase for digesting fibrous foods, Lipase for fats, and Protease for breaking down proteins. Worth noting, all these enzymes are not artificial; rather, they are plant-based.

Another ingredient worth noting is omega in this dog food. Omega 3 is a fatty acid with anti-inflammatory activity and still helps keep your dog’s skin healthy.

Other key ingredients:

Pumpkin seed – pumpkin seeds are essential sources of nutrients like manganese, vitamin d, and copper. Also, pumpkins help eliminate helminths inside your dog’s tummy.

Dried kelp a good antioxidant

Alfalfa – alfalfa provides your dog with vitamins c, b, and k.

This is the first time I’m hearing about this brand. Our vet recommended it for our two strays who recently developed some weird rashes and won’t stop scratching. I had no idea dog food gets recalled so often, this is so sad…

  2. Nathan

I honestly don’t understand why the FDA doesn’t properly regulate dog food. I mean, come on, it’s a market worth billions and they let all these companies take us for fools. Royal Canin was a huge disappointment for us, our dog had severe stomach issues for weeks after eating their dry food at daycare. We have Taste of the wild at home but I never imagined RC was this BAD!

  3. John

By the look of it this could be a highly nutritious and healthy dog food. Bookmarked it for my next amazon order, it’s worth a try.
